본 연구는 스웨덴과 한국의 아버지들을 대상으로 보육시설 참여 정도 및 부-자녀관계의 국가간 차이를 비교 분석하였다. 연구결과, 스웨덴 아버지들이 한국 아버지들보다 자녀가 다니는 보육시설에서 이루어지는 제반 활동에 보다 적극적으로 참여하고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 스웨덴 아버지가 한국 아버지들보다 자녀와 보다 친밀하고 갈등이 적은 긍정적 관계를 형성하고 있음을 알 수 있었다. 아버지가 자녀의 보육시설 활동에 자주 참여하는 것은 아버지와 자녀간의 친밀하고 호혜적인 관계를 형성하는데 도움을 주는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구는 스웨덴과 한국 아버지들의 보육 참여 및 부모자녀관계에 대한 비교문화적 자료를 제공했다는 점에서 의의가 있다.
The purpose of this study was to analyze the fathers' participation in the child-care centers and father-child relationship in Sweden and Korea. The survey were conducted in Göteborgs and Seoul. The subjects of this study were 119 Swedish fathers and 406 Korean fathers. This study showed that Swedish fathers appeared to involve more actively in their children's child-care centers than Korean fathers do. In addition, Swedish fathers tended to have more intimate relationship with their children than Korean fathers do. And fathers' participation was positively correlated with father-child relationship. This study provided with the understanding of cultural differences in fathers' participation in the child-care centers and father-child relationship in Sweden and Korea.
