본 연구는 음악을 감상하고 유아들이 자신의 생각을 정리하여 그림을 그려보게 함으로써 유아의 미술표현능력 증진에 효과가 있는지를 밝히고자 하였다. 본 연구대상은 사립유치원 만 5세아로 실험집단의 유아에게는 11주간에 걸쳐 1주일에 1회씩 음악감상활동을 통합한 미술활동을 실시하였다. 연구결과 미술표현력이 비교집단에 비해 실험집단의 유아들의 점수증가가 통계적으로 유의하게 높았다. 하위요인 중 내용 표현력의 증가 차이가 가장 컸으며, 색체 표현력의 차이가 가장 작았다. 이와 같은 결과는 음악감상활동을 통합한 미술활동이 연구대상 유아의 미술표현능력 증진에 효과가 있다는 것을 입증하는 것이다. 따라서 본 연구결과를 바탕으로 볼 때 유아미술교육에서 음악감상활동과 통합한 미술교육 방법이 바람직하다고 하겠다.


The Purpose of this study was to find the effect of art activity connected with music-listening on children's expressing in painting. The subjects of this study were five year old children from a kindergarten and the experimental group participated in art activity connected with music-listening for a 11-week period(11 times). The results of this study revealed that the children of experimental group showed statistically a more significant increase in expressing in painting than those of comparative group. As a result of the sub-factors of expressing in painting, it indicated that the children's expressing of line in painting be the highest increased and the children's expressing of subject matter in painting be the lowest increased. The results showed that art activity connected with music-listening could improve children's expressing in painting. Thus, these results suggest that art activity connected with music-listening is an effective method for children's art education.
