본 연구는 유아인성교육프로그램을 개발하여 이를 실제적으로 적용해 봄으로써 유아의 학습 관련 사회적 기술, 대인관계 성향, 사회인지능력에 대한 효과를 검증하는데 그 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 먼저 문헌고찰 및 선행연구 분석을 통하여 프로그램의 하위내용요소를 추출하고 목적 및 목표, 내용, 방법을 고려하여 프로그램을 구성하였으며 이를 유아교육 전문가 5인과 현장경력 5년 이상의 석․박사과정 대학원생 10인에게 적합성을 검증받았다. 또한 개발된 인성교육 프로그램이 유아의 학습관련 사회적 기술, 대인관계 성향, 사회인지능력에 미치는 효과를 검증하였다. 결론적으로 본 연구에서 개발된 인성교육 프로그램은 유아의 학습관련 사회적 기술, 대인관계 성향, 사회인지능력을 증진시킨 것으로 나타났다. 뿐만 아니라 연구를 통해 앞으로 인성교육개념이 재정립 되어야 할 필요성과 제언을 논하였으며 유아의 전인적 발달을 도모할 수 있는 교육프로그램으로서의 현장 적용 가능성을 시사하고 있다.
The objective of this study was to develop a character education program for young children and apply it in order to examine its effects on young children's learning-related social skills, Interpersonal Relations Disposition and Social Cognition Ability. For this purpose, we extracted the contents elements of the program through literature review and analysis of previous research, and drafted the program in consideration of its objectives, goals, contents and methods. The goodness-of-fit of the drafted program was verified by 5 specialists in early childhood education and 10 graduate students in their master's or doctoral course with over 5 years' field experience. In additions, we tested the effects of the developed character education program on young children's learning-related social skills, Interpersonal Relations Disposition and Social Cognition Ability. According to the results of this study, the developed character education program enhanced young children's learning-related social skills, Interpersonal Relations Disposition and Social Cognition Ability. Furthermore, we discussed the necessity for reestablishing the concept of character education in the future and made related suggestions. The results of this study suggested the field applicability of the program as an educational program for young children's whole personal development.
