본 연구는 전통문화에 기초한 유아감성교육 프로그램을 개발하고 그 효과를 검증하는 데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 전통문화와 감성교육에 대한 문헌고찰 및 선행연구 분석을 토대로 전통문화에 기초한 유아감성교육 프로그램을 개발하였다. 구성된 프로그램은 만 5세 유아에게 8주간 총 24차시를 적용하였으며, 유아의 감성지능 척도, 사회적 유능감 척도, 전통문화 인지와 선호도 척도를 사용하여 프로그램의 효과를 검증하였다. 그 결과 본 연구에서 개발한 전통문화에 기초한 유아감성교육 프로그램이 유아의 감성지능, 유아의 사회적 유능감, 유아의 전통문화 인지와 선호도 증진에 효과적임을 알 수 있었다. 이에 본 연구에서 개발한 전통문화에 기초한 유아감성교육 프로그램은 유아교육현장에서 전통문화의 의미 있는 내용들을 감성교육과 연계하는 이론적 탐색의 근거를 지원할 뿐만 아니라 전통문화에 내재된 교육적 가치를 기초로 한 감성교육 프로그램으로 적용 가능함을 시사한다.
The purpose of this research is to develop and verify a young children’s emotional education program based on Korean traditional culture. In doing so, this paper reviews the literature review and then offers an analysis of a preliminary study on traditional culture and emotional education, and lays out the program developed. The program consists of 24 classes that were given to 5-year-old children eight weeks. In addition, the effects of the program were verified by using children’s emotional intelligence, social competence, cognition and preference about traditional culture. The young children’s emotional education program based on Korean traditional culture is proven to be effective at improving young children’s emotional intelligence, social competence, cognition and preference toward traditional culture. Therefore, this program provides a theoretic basis for intertwining the value of traditional culture and emotional education. Furthermore, it suggests the feasibility of applying emotional education program based on the educational merits of Koreans.
