지금까지의 성경에 나타난 하나님의 상징의 의미와 특성에 관한 여러 가지 논의들을 살펴보았다. 상징(Symbol)이란 겉으로 드러난 객관적 존재(형식)의 차원을 넘어서초경험적 세계에 감추어진 주관적 본질(내용)의 차원을 지닌 것으로서, 그것이 처한맥락 속에서 인식주체의 해석에 따라 다양한 의미를 나타내고, 독특한 정서와 감정을불러일으킨다. 따라서 하나님의 상징성 분석은 육에 속한 인간에게 영으로서의 존재하는 하나님을 깨닫고 체험하도록 해준다는 점에서 큰 의미가 있다. 또한 성경적 상징주의 해석은 영적 진리를 찾고자 하는 영적 해석 이라고도 할 수 있다. 즉 성경의 상징을 통하여 하나님의 본뜻인 진리를 밝혀내는 것이다. 왜냐하면 상징을 통한 영적진리를 발견하는 것은 가장 좋은 실물 교훈이 되기 때문이다. 상징주의 성경해석은 하나님의 말씀을 해석함에 있어 깊고, 높고, 넓게 인도하려는해석법이다. 그리하여 세미한 가운데 계신 하나님의 말씀을 깨닫게 하려는 것이다. 그리하여 엘리야가 세미한 가운데 계신 하나님을 만나 되었듯이 부상당하거나 우울증에걸린 국가유공자 들이 성령의 인도하심을 받아 이러한 병들을 치료할 수 있는 방법들중의 하나이기도 하다. 따라서 성경의 진리는 불변하지만 그 진리를 전달하는 과정은 계속 연구되고 발전되어야 할 과제로 우리에게 남아 있다. 그러므로 상징주의 해석법은 더욱 연구 발전되어야 할 해석법이다. 즉 성경적 상징주의 해석법이 더욱더 연구되고 발전됨에 따라 하나님께서 우리에게 던져준 성경을 통한 말씀은 더욱 명쾌하고 진지하게 그 오묘한 진리를 깨달을 때 국가유공자들의 질병이 치유될 것이다.
