This thesis investigated work reception consciousness of Korean ancient novel readers through extract versions. Extract versions were extracted from one part among complete set of books. Extract versions was constituted by readers's special concern. Jehoyeonrok(제호연록), Leessi -chounghyorok(이씨충효록), Byukheodamkwanjaeunrok(벽허담관제언록), Ryu -ssisamdaerok(유씨삼대록) extract versions, Chunsusukjeon(천수석전), Soh -yunsungrok hwanghoobyuljeon(소현성록 황후별전) was constituted by readers's special concern on work contents. Readers extracted one's concern part among entire contents of work. On this thesis, I investi -gated readers's concern character concern story about readers of Sohyunsungrok(소현성록), Ryussisamdaerok(유씨삼대록) extract versions. Readers of Sohyunsungrok(소현성록) concerned Sosuju(소수주)'s character and story and Sukpa(석파)'s story. And they concerned Myungheongongju(명현공주) and Sosubing(소수빙) story. Readers of Ryussisamdaerok(유씨삼대록) concerned Jinyanggongju(진양공주), Ryuheonyoung(유현영), Yangbeukju(양벽주) story. Chief contents of extract versions is women's story. Readers concerned womanly virtues, wisdom, insight, ability, filial devotion of women. And they concerned hard married life in the home of the husband's parents. and they concerned women who prepared proper quality and role in families. Finally, extract versions was constituted to enshrine women's interes- ting stories and qualities among works.
