The interpretation of the medical labortary data is a decision making process by comparison to reference intervals. Authors carried out to estimate reference intervals of clinical chemistry 19 items in 61 cases of the healthy children, male and female of 1-5 years old group who visited Catholic University Our Lady of Mercy Hospital to be checked physical examination June to july 1997. We use automated chemistry analyzer Hitachi 747 to examine the samples and the data was handled with modified statistical method by parametric & nonparametri C(95% percentile) method. The results obtained are as follows: 1. The Reference intervals of serum Total protein, Albumin, BUN , Creatinine , Uricacid , Glucose, TG and Mg had no significant difference between children and adult. 2. The Reference intervals of Bilirubin, Ca, P, AST, ALT, r-GT, ALP, CPK, LDH and Total cholesterol had significant difference between children and adult , and the reference interval have to estimate according to age group.
