Cheju islanders experienced Korean War, and suffered pain of internal war that is continued from rear while the 4․3 Incident is not over. People who was arrested beforehand in process of the war were shot dead, and prisoners disappeared, and Cheju islanders were mobilized for surviving guerilla’s conquest. Cheju islanders participated in the war to take off Red’s false charge. Cheju Island changed to a military base that train soldiers, and great many refugees entered, and food was run dry. The discord event occurred between war refugees and the victims of calamity of the 4․3 Incident. All these truths happened within everyday life that can not understand separating the 4․3 Incident with the war. Cheju islanders could be authorized as Korean people through the war. It was method of life for unavoidable area community’s survival to participate to the opportunity. Cheju islanders kept deeply fear about force of country with consciousness which hate Communism under authoritarian anti-Communist country system in process of the 4.3 Incident and Korean War. Cheju islanders stood in forefront of anti- Communist keeping trauma of the 4․3 Incident and adapt slowly to country system.
