본고에서는 한국의 문화코드를 추출하기 하기 위한 방법론의 하나로서 전통문화 가운데 음양오행 코드로 잡았다. 본고에서는 한국문화코드 중에서 한글코드를 분석하고자 한다. 그 이유는 한국문화중 가장 위대한 문화유산은 한글이며, 한스타일(Han-Style) 사업의 첫 머리를 장식하고 있는 것 역시 한글이기때문이다. 더욱이 한글 코드의 인코딩 과정은 텍스트(『훈민정음』해례본) 속에명확하게 적시되어 있음에도 불구하고, 한글코드의 철학과 미학을 아울러 논의한 연구가 없기 때문이다. 이를 위한 방법론으로서 2장에서는 우선 한국문화속의 ‘음양오행’ 코드에 관해 전반적으로 고찰해보았다. 3장에서는 『훈민정음』 해례를 텍스트로 삼아 한글의 '삼재 음양 오행' 코드를 분석하였다. 4장에서는 한글코드에 담긴 '어울림의 미학'을 추출하였다.
The purpose of this study is analyzing Hangul-code, one of the most significant culture codes of Korea. And, in this study,traditional Yin-Yang and Five Elements code is used as an analytical framework for understanding Hangul-code. Hangul, which is the most brilliant cultural heritages of all ethnic Koreans, is regarded as the representative of Korean culture and also one of world's greatest creations. Korean government has already set the promotion of Hangul as the top priority task of its Han-Style Project, however, the correlation and harmony of Hangul's philosophy and esthetics have rarely been discussed in Korean academia yet although Hunminjeongeum Haerye (the principals for the invention of Hangul) explicates the methodology of encoding Hangul-code. For its purpose, in the following chapters, this study examines the validity of Yin-Yang and Five Elements code as an analytical method of Korean traditions, clarifies the Yin-Yang and Five Elements code inherent in Hangul based on the context of Hunminjeongeum Haerye, and finally reveals the 'esthetics of harmony' in the Hangul-code.
