본 연구에서는 백워드 설계 모형을 활용하여 이해중심 교육과정과 수업 설계 전문성 신장을 위한 교사교육 프로그램을 개발하는 것을 연구의 목적으로 하였다. 이러한 연구 목적을 달성하기 위하여, 본 연구에서는 교사교육 프로그램의 구안, 적용, 성과의 3단계의 절차에 따라서 진행되었다. 먼저, 교사교육 프로그램은 백워드 설계 모형에 기초하여 예비교사들의 단원 설계 역량을 함양하는 방향으로 구안하였다. 교사교육 프로그램은 교육대학교 4학년 예비교사들을 대상으로 5주간 적용하였으며, 백워드 설계 모형에 대한 이론적 지식과 실천적 지식을 획득할 수 있도록 워크숍 형태로 진행하였다. 교사교육 프로그램의 성과는 예비교사들이 완성한 단원 설계 템플릿과 성찰 일지를 분석하여 살펴보았다. 본 연구에서 개발한 교사교육 프로그램이 예비교사들의 이해중심 교육과정과 수업 설계 전문성의 역량을 형성하는 데 기여하였다.
The purpose of this study was to develop effective educational programs for instructors to enhance their curriculum and instruction competencies. Also, this study was intended to identify the changes in their backward design knowledge, skills, and attitudes by applying the developed educational program to instructors. The phase of this study was development, practice, evaluation. The results of this study was following. First, the purpose and goal of the educational program is to foster the knowledge, skills, and attitudes of backward design. Second, the content of the educational program is as follows. There are the following five aspects: understanding of backward design, practice of identify desired results, practice of determine acceptable evidencive, practice of plan learning experiences and instruction, practice of UbD template. Third, the education time and method for applying the program is as follows: 180 minutes per session during the week a total of 5 times. The teaching-learning method was a combination of lectures, discussion, and exercise. Fourth, educational programs for instructors to enhance their curriculum and instruction competencies by backward design. In inclusion, the backward design model provides the capabilities for the training courses to instructors as active meaning constructors and developers, and has the experience to provide for instructors practical knowledge and repertory.
