신두 사구 비지터센터의 완공을 앞두고, 신두 해안사구의 생태적 기능과 중요성에 대한 인식을 증대시키고 사구지대의 지형과 생물을 비롯한 생태계를 원형에 가깝도록 보존하기 위해, 해안사구 탐방객의 탐방 효과를 높일 수 있는 탐방 시설과 탐방 프로그램을 제시하고자 하였다. 천연기념물 보호구역의 기존 출입구를 배후산지와 사구지대 사이로 이전하고, 배후산지와 두웅습지를 연계하는 산책로를 조성하고, 지형과 생태 자원을 활용하여 세 가지 유형의 탐방로와 생태해설 프로그램을 지형학적 관점에서 제시하였다. 또한 신두 사구의 지속적인 관리를 위해, 지형 변화, 사구 미기상, 지하수위와 수질 등의 모니터링 방법과 위치 등을 제안하였다.
Having the completion of Sindu sand dune visitor center ahead, in order to increase the understanding of the ecological function and importance of Sindu coastal sand dune and to preserve the ecosystem including its topography and organism in sand dune area close to the original form, this research proposed visitor? facilities and programs of coastal sand dune. I proposed the new entrance which is between Natural Monument preservation area and mountainous area, a new trail course that connects dune area with mountainous area and Du-ung Wetland, and three types of visitor? trail and explanation programs on ecology using the topography and ecological resources from a geomorphic point of view. Also, it suggested methods of monitoring and location of change in topography, microclimate of sand dunes, ground-water level and water quality for continuous management of Sindu sand dune.
