이 논문은 장동 김문의 명청 서적에 대한 독서와 장서 문화를 통해 지식 생산의 기반을 조성하고, 이를 바탕으로 학술과 문학 분야 지식을 재생산해내는 과정을 검토한 것이다. 燕行을 통한 인적 교유는 물론 서적의 구입과 借覽, 黃山 金逌根家 소장의 장서목록과 農淵그룹 인물들의 현전 장서, 독서 실상은 장동 김문의 지식 기반의 일면을 보여준다. 다음으로 이들의 장서와 독서를 통해 형성된 지식을 기반으로 만든 지식 재생산 양상을 두 가지 측면에서 고찰하였다. 장동 김문은 명말청초 이후 중국 성리학의 향방에 주목하면서도 순정한 주자학 서적에 관심을 집중했다. 문학적으로는 농연그룹 내에서 陸游의 시문에 대한 애독을 통해 앞세대 문학의 혁신을 이루고, 『史記』와 같은 전범 텍스트의 독법을 새롭게 강구함으로써 새로운 지식 재생산의 면모를 보여주고 있다. 또한 농연그룹은 전겸익 문집 등의 독서를 통해 조선 내에서 이전에 없었던 문학 논의를 마련하였다.


This manuscript constructs a foundation of knowledge production through Ming and Qing’s book circulation of Jang-dong Kim Mun, culture of collection of books, and reading. And, based on these, in the fields of doctrines of Chu-tzu and literature, courses of reproducing knowledge were reviewed. For this, current state of the collection of books was looked into. Mainly books concerned with the doctrines of Chu-tzu, books dealt with situations or history of late Ming and early Qing with those times’ viewpoints, books about medical treatments, welfare, and agricultural administration, anthology with a new direction, and so on are all representative Ming and Qing’s books which were flown into Jang-dong Kim Mun. List of collection books of Whangsan Kim Yug-geun are a representative case for inflowing of Ming and Qing dynasties. Through this book circulation, emotional culture, and reading, a basis of knowledge production comes to be made for ‘understanding of direction of Chinese doctrines of Chu-tzu’, ‘grasping of suddenly changed Chinese continent situations’, and ‘new understanding about poetic literature’. Later, through acceptation of knowledge of late Ming and early Qing, phases of knowledge reproduction were inspected from two aspects. First, though direction of study of Confucian classics was taken notice of, books of the pure doctrines of Chu-tzu were paid more attention to. Also, through reading favorably poems of Yukyu in a Nong-yeon group, innovation of the former literature was realized. By newly seeking for reading methods of war criminals’ texts such as 『Shiji』 of Sima Qian, it can be said that an opportunity to open a possibility of the new knowledge production was provided.
