>완전통합교육의 현실로는 건축이나 제품의 유니버설 디자인(UD: universal design)의 실현, 학습에서 보편적 학습설계(UD: universal design for learning)의 실현과 소프트 측면의 유니버설 서비스(UDS: universal design for service)가 충만해질 때 실현 가능성이 있다고 생각된다. 따라서 유니버설 디자인의 실현 가능성은 통합교육의 효율화를 위해 어떤 적용가능성을 가지고 있는지를 유니버설 서비스 측면에서 알아보고자 하였다. 특히, 특수교육에서는 보편적 학습설계로 이미 유니버설 디자인의 철학을 적용해 보고자하는 노력이 있어왔지만 그 개념 규정이나 발달적 과정은 검토가 충분하지 못했고, 소프트적인 대안의 접근도 미비했다. 따라서 본 연구목적은 유니버설 디자인의 실현 가능성은 통합교육의 효율화를 위해 어떤 가능성을 가지고 있는지를 유니버설 서비스의 소프트 측면에서 알아보고자하였다. 이를 통해 얻은 결론은 첫째, 다양한 유사 개념들의 정의를 통해 유니버설 디자인의 개념 정의를 밝히고, 세계 각국의 장애인의 평등성과 더불어 소수자의 평등성을 추구하려는 법 규정을 통해 유니버설 디자인이 통합교육을 지향함을 알 수 있었다. 둘째, 통합교육의 새로운 적용 방향으로 유니버설 서비스 적용가능성은 지역사회의 통합과 장애인의 삶의 질을 보장 할 수 있음을 수 있음을 밝힐 수 있었다. <주제어> 유니버설 디자인, 보편적 학습설계, 유니버설 서비스, 배리어프리, 액세시블, 유저블, 커스터마이즈
In order to provide a inclusion education, universal design(UD) should be applied to the hardware of education like construction or production, and at the same time, the software of it should be improved as well by realizing universal design for learning(UDL) and universal design for service(UDS). So it's planned in this study to delve into the software aspects of UDS to find out the applicability of UD as a way to boost the efficiency of inclusion.There were efforts in special education sector to take advantage of the philosophy of UD by employing UDL, but its conception and process weren't yet clearly defined. The purpose of this study was, therefore, to examine the meaning of UD and relevant terms and its development process, and to explore the conception of UDS and the right directions for the application of UD.
