본 연구는 재택ㆍ순회교육 담당교사의 치료교육활동 교육과정 운영 현황 및 요구 분석을 통하여 그 개선 방안을 모색하는데 목적이 있었다. 연구의 결과와 논의를 통하여 얻어진 결론은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 재택ㆍ순회교육 대상자의 교육과정은 치료교육활동 중심으로 운영되어야 하고, 그 필요성이 높게 인식되고 있지만 담당교사의 배치가 미흡하다. 둘째, 재택ㆍ순회교육 대상자의 수업은 담당교사의 성향에 따라 다양한 방법으로 전개되어 그 효율성에 차이를 나타내고 있다. 셋째, 재택ㆍ순회교육에서의 치료교육활동 수업의 효율성을 높이기 위해 교재ㆍ교구 및 행ㆍ재정적 지원이 증가되어야 한다.


The purpose of this study was to investigate the present status and needs for the therapeutic educational activities of the residential and itinerant education teacher. The subjects of this study were 165 teachers in charge residential and itinerant education. Every teacher, who attended in this survey, answered for a questionnaire of total 27 items, which was treated statistically with SPSS/PC and finally analyzed with x2 test method. The results of this study were as follows; First, Curriculum of residential and itinerant education should primarily operate with therapeutic educational activities. Residential and itinerant education teachers attached great importance of therapeutic educational activities, however, the number of therapeutic education teachers was much shorter in fields of residential and itinerant education. Second, therapeutic educational activities were differently operated by characteristics of teachers. So the difference of therapeutic educational activities operations should be minimized by suggestion of concrete guiding principle. Residential and itinerant education teacher's understanding and knowledge that teaching skills, curriculum operating skill of therapeutic education, and utilization of teaching tools and equipment have to improve by training programs of therapeutic education as well. Finally, to improve efficiency of therapeutic educational activities in residential and itinerant education, it was essential that teaching tools and equipment, administrative and financial were needed to support it.
