대학의 교사시설정비는 「대학설립·운영규정」에 의한 교사기준면적에 의하여 행하여지고 있다. 그러나 연구대상으로 한 180대학 224캠퍼스를 조사한 결과, 74%의 대학캠퍼스가 교사기준면적을 충족시키지 못하고 있다. 또한 각 대학의 캠퍼스 특성에 따라 교사기준면적의 현황이 제각기 다르다.따라서 교사기준면적이 단지 계열별 학생수에 의하여 일률적으로 산출된다는 것에 대해서는 의문을 가질 수밖에 없다. 교사기준면적 산출방식에 있어서, 캠퍼스의 학부·학과구성 및 규모, 대학의 설립목적, 캠퍼스간의 역할분담 등의 캠퍼스 특성에 따른 적정기준적용이 고려되어야 하며, 이에 대한 연구도 계속되어야 한다.

The result studying 224 campuses of 180 universities shows that 74% of the campuses do not satisfy the requirement of having the standard area and the situation of the standard area is varied by the university campus characteristics.Therefore, there are a lot of problems in that the standard area of the school building has been calculated uniformly just by the number of students to a university by department.The point of the reasonable application should be considered and studied in the calculation way of the standard area of the school building by the campus characteristics, such as the organization and size of college and department, the object of establishment and a portion of the role among campuses.
