본 연구는 Bernstein의 생각의 도구를 활용한 동화 활동이 유아의 창의적 사고와 언어표현력에 어떠한 효과가 있는지 알아보고자 하였다. Y시 C유치원의 만 5세 유아 46명을 대상으로 각 23명으로 실험집단과 비교집단을 구성하였다. 8주간 16회에 걸쳐 실험집단은 Bernstein의 생각의 도구를 활용한 동화활동을 실시하였고 비교집단은 생활주제에 따른 동화 활동을 실시하였다. TTCT 도형검사와 언어표현력검사를 사용하여 자료를 수집하였으며, 수집된 자료는 공분산분석을 실시하였다. 연구 결과는 실험집단의 창의적 사고와 언어표현력의 사후 점수가 비교집단에 비해 유의하게 높은 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 Bernstein의 생각의 도구를 활용한 동화 활동은 유아의 창의적 사고와 언어표현력을 향상시키는데 효과적인 교수-학습 방법이 될 수 있음을 시사한다.
The purpose of this study was to analyze the effects of fairy tale activities using thinking tools of Bernstein on young children’s creative thinking and verbal expression abilities. The subject of this study were 46 young children who attended a kindergarten in Y city. The experimental group participated in fairy Tale activities using thinking tools of Bernstein while the comparison group participated in theme-based fairy Tale activities. Data were analyzed by ANCOVA. Results showed that there were significant differences between the experimental group and the comparison group in post-test scores. The results suggested that fairy tale activities using thinking tools of Bernstein would be more effective to develop young children’s creative thinking and verbal expression abilities than traditional fairy tale activities.
