본 연구는 체험중심 과학캠프 프로그램이 유아교사들의 과학적 교수태도에 미치는 영향을 규명해 봄으로써 유아교사들을 위한 과학프로그램 개발에 필요한 기초자료를 제공하는데 목적이 있다. 본 연구의 연구결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 체험중심 과학캠프 프로그램을 적용한 후에 유아교사들은 과학적 교수태도 즉, 과학교수에 대한 흥미, 직접적 조작에 의한 과학 활동, 과학교육을 위한 준비, 과학의 필요성 및 발달적 적합성이 향상된 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 체험중심 과학캠프 프로그램은 유아교사들의 과학적 교수태도에 긍정적인 영향을 미친다고 볼 수 있다. 그러므로 본 연구의 지속적인 발전을 위해서는 단기적으로 교사들에게 다양한 연수나 캠프 등의 기회를 확대 제공하여 교사들이 보다 자신 있게 과학수업을 하도록 하고, 장기적으로는 유아교육 관련 학회 차원에서 과학교육을 위한 전문 과정을 개설하여 유아과학 전문교사를 양성할 필요가 있다.
The purpose of this study is to offer basic data necessary for developing science program for early childhood teachers by closely examining influence of practice-centered science camp program upon early childhood teachers' scientific teaching attitude. The major findings of the study were as follows:Following the practice-centered science camp program, the early childhood teachers were indicated to have been improved the scientific teaching attitude, namely, an interest in science teaching, the science activity by direct manipulation, the preparation for science education, the necessity & developmental appropriateness of science. Accordingly, the practice-centered science camp program can be considered to have positive influence upon early childhood teachers' scientific teaching attitude. Hence, for continuous development in this study, there is a need of allowing teachers to give science lesson more confidently by expanding and offering an opportunity such as diverse training or camps to teachers in the short run. There is a need of training early childhood science specialists by opening the professional course for science education in the dimension of academic society related to early childhood education in the long term.
