본 연구의 목적은 다문화교육을 위한 창의적 극놀이 활동이 유아의 다문화인식과 행복감에 미치는 영향을 알아보는 것이다. 이를 위해 연구대상은 D시에 소재한 A와 B유치원의 재원중인 만5세 유아 41명으로 A유치원의 유아를 실험집단으로 B유치원의 유아를 통제집단으로 임의 배정하였다. 실험집단 유아들에게 다문화교육을 위한 창의적 극놀이 활동을 7주간 18회 실시하였고, 통제집단 유아들에게는 다문화주제에 의한 나열식 활동을 실시하였다. 연구도구는 다문화인식 검사, 행복감 검사도구를 사용하였다. 자료분석은 집단 간 차이분석을 위해 공분산분석(ANCOVA)을 하였다. 연구결과, 다문화교육을 위한 창의적 극놀이 활동이 유아의 다문화인식과 행복감에 의미있는 영향을 미침을 알 수 있었다. 이러한 결과는다문화 주제의 창의적 극놀이 활동이 유아교육현장에서 유아의 다문화인식와 행복감 향상을 위해 지속적이고 체계적으로 적용될 가치가 있음을 시사한다.
This study analyzed the effects of the creative dramatic play activities for multicultural education on young children’s multicultural awareness and happiness. Subjects were 41 five-years-old children. The tools for this study are a multicultural awareness scale and happiness scale. The abalysis of covariance(ANCOVA) was used in analyzing pre-and post-test data. The results of this study indicated that the creative dramatic play activities for multicultural education has a positive and statistically significant effect on multicultural awareness and happiness. These results could be utilized to have a positive effects of the creative dramatic play activities for multicultural education on young children’s multiculral awareness and happiness.
