본 연구는 유아반 보육교사들이 영아반 담임이 되어 보육하는 과정에서 경험하는 어려움은 무엇이며그러한 어려움을 극복하는 과정을 통해 가져온 긍정적 변화는 무엇인지 알아보고자 실시하였다. 연구참여자와 방법은 어린이집 영아반 교사 8명을 대상으로 개별 및 집단 심층면접을 실시하였다. 연구결과첫째, 교사들은 영아반 담임을 하면서 영아의 발달 특성과 교수법 무지에 대한 어려움, 신체적 통증과체력적 소모에 따른 어려움, 팀티칭에 따른 어려움, 유아반 교사와 다른 수당체계와 인식차이로 인한 어려움을 느끼고 있었다. 둘째, 영아반 교사를 경험하고 나서 교사는 영아기 이해를 돕는 학문적 노력을하였고, 자신감이 형성되었으며, 감정조절, 기다림과 같은 성격이 변화됨으로써 긍정적인 변화를 가져왔다고 하였다.


The purpose of this study was to find out when teachers of infants and toddlers took charge aclass how they felt early worries, difficulty and positive changes in the process of the child careexperience. Personal and group in-dept interviews with 14 teachers of infants and toddles wereimplemented to understand their early worries and difficulties of job and to find out positivechanges in the process of the difficulties. The results were as follows: First, Teachers of infantsand toddles worried about the ignorance of infant and toddler’s teaching method when they firsttook class, and they worried would not be made seamless communication with infant and toddler. Also they worried about the team teaching. Seconds, teachers of infants and toddles experienceddifficulties of physical exhaust, difficulties that forming different attachment according to theindividual character, difficulties of parents realization to thinking as a teachers of infants andtoddles baby sitter, difficulties on the complaints that they was being discriminated against earlychildhood teachers. Third, teachers of infants and toddles got to know positive changes ofacademic effort about infant- toddler, formation of confidence, changes of character- Psychologicalcontrol, Patience-after teaching infants and toddlers.
