본 연구는 저소득 및 결손가정의 아동에게 집단미술치료를 실시하여 또래 및 사회성에 있어서 긍정적인 변화가 있는지를 알아보기 위한 것이다. 본 연구의 대상자는 ○○시 소재의 ○○사회복지관 방과 후 공부방에 오는 아동들 중에서 집단미술치료에 참여를 원하는 아동 30명이었다. 이들의 가정은 구조적 및 기능적으로 결손 되었고, 아울러 저소득층 가정이었다. 피험자는 실험집단 15명과 통제집단 15명으로 나누었다. 각 집단은 1학년 3명, 3학년 3명, 4학년 3명, 5학년 2명, 6학년 4명으로 실험집단과 통제집단의 동질성을 맞추어 구성하였다. 두 집단 간 가정형태와 경제적인 수준을 가능한 동일하게 배정하였다. 연구 대상자들에게 집단미술치료를 실시한 결과에 의한 결론은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 집단미술치료가 저소득층 결손가정 아동의 또래관계의 향상에 긍정적인 영향을 미쳤다. 둘째, 집단미술치료가 실험집단의 사회성을 유의미하게 향상시킨 결과를 보였다. 결과적으로 집단미술치료는 저소득층 결손가정 아동들의 또래관계 및 사회성을 향상시키는데 유용한 프로그램이 될 수 있음을 보여주었다.


The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of group art therapy on improving the deprived children's peer relationship and sociality. Subjects were 30 children who participated in the therapy spontaneously. They were studied at the community social welfare after school. They were deprived in the respect of the family function and structure. Subjects were divided by 15 experimental group and 15 control group. Each group was consisted of 3 of first, 3 of third, 3 of fourth, 2 of fifth and 4 of sixth grade. Two group were equalized by the level of income and the family structure. Results of this study were follows; First, group art therapy was positive effect on the peer relationship of experimental group. Second, the sociality of the experimental group was increased by group art therapy. Thus, Group art therapy was positive effect to improve the peer relationship and the sociality for the deprived children.
