본 연구의 목적은 주의력결핍 과잉행동장애(Attention Deficit Hyper- Activity Disorder: 이하 ADHD)아동의 반복리듬감(Interactive Metronome: 이하 IM)훈련의 개입이 충동성조절과 주의집중력개선에 미치는 효과를 알아보기 위한 것이다. 본 연구의 대상아동은 본 연구에 선발되기 전 의료기관에서 ADHD 진단을 받았고 약물을 복용하지 않는 초등학생 2명을 대상으로 하였다. 연구대상아동에게 주의집중력 검사(ADS)와 K-CBCL을 사용하여 사전·사후 검사를 실시하여 결과를 제시하였다. IM 15회기 이후 ADS와 IM Long Form Assessment의 사전사후 결과로 본 연구에 응한 2명 아동 모두에게서 충동성조절과 주의력향상에서 개선효과가 나타났다. 이러한 결과를 토대로 IM중재 훈련은 ADHD를 가진 남자 어린이에게서 충동성조절과 주의력향상을 개선시키는 효과가 있다고 할 수 있다.

The study included 2 children who were attended primary school and experienced no medicine. they were tested the ADS(ADHD diagnose system) before IM intervention begin. A significant pattern of improvement on two children with the IM intervention was found. The two children were diagnosed ADHD with ADS test before the intervention begins, but were diagnosed not ADHD any more after IM 15 sessions finish. The Interactive Metronome training appears to improve impulsive and inattentive behavioral problem on the children with ADHD.
