필자는 본 연구에서 공적신학에 기초한 공적선교신학의 윤곽을 그리고자 한다. 연구의 목적은 공적선교신학을 정립함으로써 한국교회의 위기와 한국선교의 한계성을 돌파하고 더 열정과 헌신으로 하나님의 선교에 동참하게 하는 것이다. 개교회중심선교, 개인중심선교, 교회개척과 교회중심적이며 업적 중심의 선교 틀을 벗어나지 못하고 있는 한국 선교의 새로운 패러다임으로 공적선교를 모색하고자 한다. 먼저 공적신학의 이해를 도모하기 위해 공적신학의 배경, 정의, 쟁점을 중심으로 살펴보고, 이어서 공적선교신학의 윤곽을 구축한다. 공적선교신학의 구성은 공적선교신학 개요, 하나님의 선교와 공적선교, 선교적 교회와 공적선교, 통전적 선교와 공적선교로 분류하되, 이 세 가지 오늘날의 선교신학의 핵심 내용을 공적선교신학이란 상관성 아래에서 공적선교의 윤곽을 시도한다. 이 세 가지현대선교신학과 실천의 핵심 내용을 종합하되 공적선교신학이란 중심 틀에서 시도한 점이 새로운 관점이다. 마지막으로 공적선교의 방향을 제3차 로잔문서인 “케이프타운 서약”과 WCC제10차 총회가 공식 발표한 “함께 생명을 향하여”를 중심으로 그 내용을 제시한다. 특별히 이 두 문서를 채택한 것은 공적선교신학이 복음주의 선교와 에큐메니칼 선교 모두에 연관성이 있음을 보여주려는 데 있다. 본 연구를 수행함에 있어서 문헌연구를 주로 하되 기왕에 논의된 공적신학과세계선교운동의 두 핵심 요소라 할 수 있는 로잔문서와 WCC 문서를 참고한다. 본 연구는 위기를 맞이한 한국교회 선교를 성경적 신학적으로 바르게 변화시키고 선교이해의 교정을 통해 선교현장의 선교사들에게 바른 선교신학과 실천을 유도하고, 국내 목회자들에게도 바른 선교적 교회론에 입각한 공적선교로서의 목회를 구현하게 하는데 기여할 것이다
This study attempts to draw an outline of public mission theology based on public theology. The purpose of this paper to find a way forward for the Korean Church and Mission and motivate people to participate in God’s mission with more passion and commitment by establishing public mission theology. It seeks to examine public mission as a new paradigm for Korean Mission that is bound in missions that are centered on individual churches and individuals. This study establishes an outline of public mission theology by examining the background, definition, and issues of public theology. The contents of public mission theology is categorized into an introduction of public mission theology, God’s mission and public mission, missional church and public mission, and holistic mission and public mission. With the three main topics of today’s mission theology, an outline of public mission is attempted in relation to public mission theology. Finally, the direction of public mission theology is suggested in light of the third Lausanne document “The Cape Town Commitment” and “Together Towards Life” officially announced at the WCC 10th Assembly. In carrying out this project, literature study will be the main content. This study will contribute to transforming the Korean Church Mission biblically and theologically, to encouraging missionaries in the mission field to have sound mission theology and practice through correcting the understanding of mission, and to shaping the ministries of domestic ministers as public mission based on sound missional ecclesiology.
