평생교육영역에서의 상담이 우리나라에서조금씩 도입되고 있다. 그러나 우리나라의 학문적 담론에서는 대체로 평생교육 상담행위에 대한 논의가 심리학적 논의의 전유물로 인식되고 있다. 평생교육의 상담을 심리학적으로 파악하려는 시도와는 달리 교육학적 관점에서의 이해가 요구된다. 이러한 맥락에서 독일의 평생교육의 상담에 대한 탐구와 분석은 매우 의미있다. 독일의 평생교육에서 상담을 심리학적 차원이 아닌 교육적 행위의 차원에서 접근하는데, 개인화되고 현대화되는 사회변화의 환경 속에서 사회속의 개인들은 어느 때보다 자율적인 행위능력에 대한 요구에 직면하고 있으며, 개인의 생애사적 맥락과 학습에 대한 성찰을 통해 학습자, 평생교육기관과 사회가 어떻게 상호 작용을 해 나갈 것인가 하는 교육학적 문제제기와 관련된다. 평생교육상담을 통해 개인과 기관의 역량강화와 전문성을 확보하는 동시에 개인의 자발적 학습능력을 갖추도록 학습에 대한 성찰을 강화하는 것이다. 특히 노인교육에서는 평생교육기관에 대한 정보 부재는 물론 학습을 효과적으로 촉진하여 자신의 생활세계를 능동적인 차원에서 성공적인 노화로 연결시킬 수 있는 학습전략이 필요하다. 노인들의 경험을 재구성하고 그들이 지니고 있는 학습자원을 고려한 교육서비스를 제공하기 위함이다.
The counseling of the area of lifelong education is introduced little by little in Korea. But, In our academic discussion, the argument about lifelong education counseling behavior is generally recognized as the exclusive property of psychological argument. Contrary to the trial intending to grasp lifelong education counseling psychologically, an understanding from an educational standpoint is required. In this context, research and analysis on German counseling of lifelong education is very significant. In German lifelong education, a counseling is approached from an educational standpoint, not a psychological standpoint. In the individualized and modernized environment of social changes, individuals in society are facing needs for autonomous capacity more than ever. In addition, it is related to the educational problem suggestion for how leaner, lifelong education institution and society should be interacted through the reflection on individual biographical context and studying. It's to not only strengthen individual and institutional capabilities and grasp professionalism through the lifelong education counseling but also strengthen the reflection on studying so that they can possess autonomous studying ability. Especially, the studying strategy which can connect their own life with successful aging at the active level by promoting information and study for lifelong institution efficiently is necessary in aging education. It's for reorganizing their experiences and providing educational service considering their studying resources.
