제7차 국어과 교육과정 중에서 말하기 영역을 살펴보면, 내용체계표에는 제시되어 있으나 교육과정 내용은 제대로 제시되지 않은 것이 있었고, 국어지식 영역은 교육과정에 제시되어 있지 않으나 교과서 상에 구성된 내용들이 있었다. 이것은 교과서 재구성이나 국어교육의 기준이어야 할 국어 교육과정의 내용에 문제가 있음을 드러내는 것이다. 이에 대해 초등학교 국어과 교육과정 중 말하기 영역을 중심으로 내용체계와 내용면에서 개선방안에 대해 논의하였다. 그러나 무엇보다도 중요한 것은 교육현장에 지침이 되고 미래 생활에 도움이 되는 교육과정을 만들기 위해서는 언어사용의 실제를 고려한 철저한 사전 작업이 필요하다.


This study aimed at analyzing the problems of the 7th curriculum for the department of the Korean Language centering on its contents and suggestion the alternatives to it. The main problem of the 7th curriculum of the Korean language is ununited system of contents and instruction contents in Speaking area. It means National Curriculum doesn't guide to Instructors. So they couldn't construct Korean textbook well. So I suggest alternative system of contents and direction of instruction contents. But most of all it needs that research of students' actual speaking situations. The basis of it we must construct the curriculum to help and guide to teachers and students. The new Korean language curriculum should be focused on the learning outcomes of korean language arts. Through the learning of the Korean language arts, students should be able to speak and realize the context
