This study aims at exploring the factors that affect criminal victimization among juveniles with disabilities. In particular, physically and mentally retarded juveniles have been regarded as one of most vulnerable crime targets in community. There have been few studies examing or reporting any impact of family abuse and negative family relationship on crime victimization. In the current study Three thousand and one hundred juveniles were investigated in order to identify the impact of abusive family relationship and handicap on the experience of being victimized. The result of this study shows that there is statistically significant group difference between retarded juveniles and intellectually-average juveniles in terms of negative family relationship. Regardless of physical or mental disability, gender, type of residence, family relationship, and family abuse are statistically significant predictors that is related to the likelihoods of crime victimization for juveniles in logistic regression model in this study. The futher policy implication for juveniles with disabilities will be discussed.
