본 연구는 우리가 알고 있는 ‘실학’개념에 대하여 새로운 시각에서 재조명 해보려는 것이다. 실심실학은 명분주의에 빠진 이데올로기와 경제적 이익만을 우선시하는 실용실학 양자를 근본적으로 치유할 수 있는 새로운 철학이다. 명분은 공동체의 결속을 위하여 公的인 면을 강조하고 실리실학은 개인의 私的 이익을 더 중시한다. 실심실학은 공과 사 양자를 극복 지양하여 살리는 活私開公의 공공철학과 일맥상통한다. 실심실학은 인간의 양지가 천지만물과 소통[靈通]하는 생명의 이성[生理]을 바탕으로 한 철학이므로 21세기 지구문명을 이끌어갈 새로운 철학이 될 것이다.
I would like to reexamine the concept of the "Practical Learning"[實學] in Korea from an another point of view. The sincere Mind&Hearted Practical Learning is a new philosophy, one that can fundamentally overcome both the ideology absorbed in the nominalistic moralism and the pragmatic Practical Learning considering primarily the economic profit. The nominalistic moralism stresses the public aspect for the sake of the unity of a community, while the pragmatic Practical Learning focuses on the private benefit of individuals. The sincere Mind&Hearted Practical Learning has a thread of connection with a public philosophy vitalizing both the public and the private. This Practical Learning, grounded in the vital reason by which humans are in spiritual communication in the universe, is expected to become a new philosophy leading the world in the 21th century
