Gopanbon(古版本), the subsequent print run of the first edition(初刊後刷本) of Yongbieocheon-ga (龍飛御天歌) has some errors as follows: ①the total number of verses was printed as ‘123(一百二十三)’ instead of ‘125(一百二十五)’ at the prologue(序) and epilogue(跋) equally. ②some serial numbers of the verses in the tenth volume were inlaid. ③especially, certain serial numbers after 106 were duplicated or omitted. Considering Gopanbon and Manryeokbon(萬曆本, the second edition) together, these errors were presumed to be derived from the first print run of the first edition(初刊初刷本) that doesn't exist except the first and second volume. So it is likely that Yongbieocheon-ga was composed of 123 verses at first and two new verses were supplemented to the original text afterwards. The two verses can be regarded as the 107th and 124th ones because they are in discord with the statement in the prologue and commentary(進龍飛御天歌箋) that the accomplishments of King Taejo(太祖) and King Taejong(太宗) would be praised within the limits of the things achieved before their accessions. Moreover, excluding these verses from Yongbieocheon-ga, a few doubtful problems also can be explained. By the way, both 107th and 124th verses contained the alarms on evil effects of Buddhism. So it is supposed that there were some political conflicts on the problem of Anti-Buddhism between the royal authority and the power of the retainers from the very point when the first edition text of the work was engraved on woodblocks. I will go into details on this subject in the second place.
