본 연구는 국가 R&D사업의 국제공동연구에서에서 R&D협력의 특성이 R&D사업의 성과의 중요 지표중의 하나인 특허성과에 미치는 영향을 국제협력이 주로이루어지고 있는 공공연구기관을 중심으로 살펴보고자 하였다. 국가 간 공동 R&D협력특성은 협력 규모요인 및 협력참여 유형으로 구분하고각각 하위측정변수를 선정하여 측정하였고, 특허성과는 국내외 특허출원수로 측정하였다. 연구모형의 실증분석을 위해 NTIS 시스템을 이용해 국가 R&D사업에서 국가 간 공동 R&D협력과제를 수행하는 공공연구기관 273개의 표본을 추출하였고, 음이항 회귀분석을 사용하여 연구가설을 검증하였다. 실증분석 결과, 국가 간공동 R&D의 규모요인 중 협력연구 참여인력비율과 협력연구비비율은 특허성과에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 확인되었으나, 협력참여기관수의 효과는 통계적으로 유의하지 않았다. 국가 간 공동 R&D의 참여유형이 특허성과에 미치는 영향 또한 유의한 것으로 분석되었다.
This study has analyzed empirically the effect of internationaljoint R&D cooperative characteristics on the patent performance inNational R&D Program. The international joint R&D cooperative characteristics werepresented as the size factors and the pattern of R&D cooperation. Thesize factors of R&D cooperation were measured by the number offoreign organizations which participated in the joint R&D assignment,the ratio of the researchers involved and the coorperative research fundsduring the research period, respectively. The output variable wascomposed of the number of patent produced from the joint R&Dassignment. Empirical results show that the ratio of the researchers involvedand the coorperative research funds among the size factors of R&Dcooperation influence the performance of patent positively. In addition,the pattern of R&D cooperation also appear to have an effect on theoutput of patent. However, the effect of the number of foreignorganizations on the performance of patent appear to be not statisticallysignificant.
