The purpose of this paper is to investigate aspects of the television broadcasting language cultures in Korea. The results are as follows. The language cultures of television broadcasting news program genre of Korea are regarded as low because of the tendency of coarseness, unfairness, overstatement, prestige etc. The language cultures of broadcasting performance entertainment program genre have shown a tendency of the unnecessary disregard of language norms, vulgarization, fixing of performer characters, disrespect, unwholesomeness, submission, destruction of language tradition etc. These broadcasting language cultures may cause immense negative influences on other culture formations in Korea. The authorities must face the fact that the broadcasting language culture is suffering serious diseases. Announcers that lack the communicative performance must be controled so that they can't do broadcasting activities. Citizen groups and TV viewers must monitor TV programs actively. Those who have an excellent Korean-speaking ability should be appointed as an announcer, a reporter or a producer at all broadcasting companies. All of them should make every efforts to elevate their Korean-speaking ability.
