The purpose of this study is to point out some translatological peculiarities on Hunminjeongeum eouhaebon, on the viewpoint of recent translation theories, i.e., product oriented descriptive translation studies(DTS), function oriented DTS, process oriented DTS and Nida's three stage system of translation - analysis․transfer․restructuring, skopos theory, text type and translation method. It is necessary to research Hunminjeongeum eonhaebon as a translated material. It is composed of three parts, gugyeolmun(Chinese classic sentence by putting the grammatical particles and endings) as a combined use source text, eonhaemun(target text) and translator's notes. Gugyeolmun reflects the intermediary stage between source text and target text. In the process of translation gugyeolmun offers grammatical information of the sentences and translator's notes provide semantic information on the lexical elements. Hunminjeongeum eonhaebon has valuable translatological peculiarities in various aspects.
