The purpose of this study is to examine the effects of extensive reading in KFL settings. For this, we prepared 13 Korean Graded Readers and carried out extensive reading program during 13 weeks in a Japanese university. After 13 weeks-extensive reading program, we compared the gains differences between ER group and control group. The result of reading speed task showed that the ER group‘s reading rate became faster than that of control group, but as for C-test, there was no statistically significant difference between two groups. The quantitative and qualitative analyses of questionnaire about ER program and its effects suggested that ER program can affect students’ attitude toward reading behavior positively, but it is appeared not enough to induce motivation on learning Korean.
