To provide opportunities for middle school students to participate outdoor activities related to biology subjects at school and suggest direction of program development for compensating shortcomings at school activities and outdoor activities, inquiry activities in biology section of middle school science textbook related to outdoor activities and ecological education programs at Yeoeudo-saekgang eco-park were compared. There were small similarity between ecological education program at eco-park and inquiry activities in textbook. Inquiry activities in middle school textbooks were related to observation and recording field and most of these activities could be done through outdoor activities. This suggest that in-school activities and outdoor activities can compensate their shortcomings in case of proper choice. Also, this study suggest to develop programs which consider interests of in-school education and outdoor activities at eco-parks. These programs might be helpful to achieve some education goals in activities.
