This study was an attempt to explore the personal, family, peer, school, and community protective factors for reduce youth problem behaviors with internet use. The surveys of personal, family, peer, school, and community protective factor and internet problem behavior relations were administrated to 1,287 second year middle school and high school students from nationwide. The results of this study are as follows; First, among the protective factors, Korean youths rated peer support the highest and parental supervision the lowest. Second, family cohesion, interaction with the most intimate friend, satisfaction with leisure activity facilities and experience of media education within community have significant effects on internet problem behaviors of youths with controlling contact with internet risky factors. On the other hand, self-esteem, morality, parental supervision, communication between parents and children, teacher support, school satisfaction have no significant effect on internet problem behaviors of youths.
