한국의 다문화 정책은 사회적으로 논의가 되고 있는 결혼이주자와 그들의 가족 유지에 초점을 두고 있다. 결과 국내에 유입되는 다양한 배경의 이주자들이 기존의 한국 사회와 적절히 융합 하는 것을 가능하게 하는 점에 있어서는 미흡하다. 이는 다문화가정의 유지･존속을 위한 정책이 중심인 한국의 다문화정책은 한국의 주류 사회와 상이한 문화를 가진 이주자들의 현실을 올바르게 인지하는 것을 어렵게 하기 때문에, 다문화 사회로 올바른 진입을 통한 사회통합에 많은 기여를 하지 못하고 있다. 이에 순수혈통주의와 단일문화주의를 고수하던 했지만 현재 다문화관련 정책을 통해 다문화의 인정과 사회통합을 이루고 있는 독일의 다문화 정책 관련 배경과 정책 내용을 한국의 그것과 비교를 통해 한국의 외국인과 관련된 정책이 갖는 한계점을 찾아 다문화사회로의 진입에 있어 사회통합을 가능하게 하는 다문화정책수립을 위한 정책적 시사점을 찾는데 본 연구의 목적이 있다.
Our society no longer maintain its integrity and unity based only on a conception of single-bloodedness because immigrants have entered Korean society following a rapid advancement in transportation and communication technology along with a trend of the globalization. Korean main multicultural policies are policies for immigrants entering Korea to marry Korean and their family. However, This may make our society hard to go into multicultural society. This study is to suggest implications for policies for immigrants staying in Korea. To find out implications for Korean multicultural policies, I compare Our circumstances and policies related with multiculture with German because it was society based only on a conception of single-bloodedness such as Korea.
