This study aims to reconstruct church education for the life and the vitality of next generation. Based upon the reconstructive structure proposed, this study also endeavors to provide salient suggestions with which the vitality of next generation can be restored in an effective manner. This study undertakes procedures for the inquiry to be reinforced by preparatory steps for the line of thoughts. First, this inquiry looks for the spheres and direction for the desirable change. Second, in order to provide a foundation of the inquiry meanings and definitions of life and vitality are investigated from biblical and Christian world view. Third, this inquiry provides a biblical paradigm for the restoration of the vitality of faith community as appeared in the book of Ezekiel specifically in chapter 37. Based upon these investigations this study endeavors to reconstruct church education and provide salient suggestions for the restoration of the vitality of next generation. Basically the key structure for the creative church education can be epitomized by the complementary integration of bipolar realities such as word & prayer, tradition & novelty, ecclesia & koinonia, and school & camps. All these can be summed up by a metaphor of “the Oval Church.” Compared to “the Triangle Church” or “the Circle Church,” “the Oval Church” includes lots of constructive insights and implications. As a final step this study suggests constructive ideas centering around the dynamism of koinonia and envisioning communities comprised of parents, children, teachers, and students.
