고려시대 연구에서 가장 큰 문제는 가용할 자료가 제한되어 있다는 사실이다. 더구나 고려사 연구의 가장 기본자료인 『高麗史』와 『高麗史節要』는 조선왕조 건국을 합리화하기 위해 쓰인 2차사료라는 한계를 갖고 있다. 그러나 새로운 사료의 발굴은 쉬운 일이 아니다. 따라서 기존 사료를 다시 정리하고 재음미하는 작업은 필요한 일이라고 할 수 있다. 필자는 이러한 맥락에서 고려시대 지방제도의 기초자료인 『高麗史』 地理志 가운데 開城府, 開城府 屬縣, 慶州, 蔚州·禮州·全州·梁州·密城郡, 晉州·陜州 등을 譯註하였다. 本稿는 『高麗史』 地理志 譯註 작업의 일환으로 『高麗史』 卷57 地理2의 尙州牧과 7개의 屬郡, 17개의 屬縣을 역주한 것이다. 역주 방식은 해당 군현에 대한 기록을 담은 原文을 정리하여 본문에 제시하고, 飜譯 편에서 원문을 우리 글로 최대한 쉽게 번역하였다. 그리고 역주 편에서는 원문에 나오는 주요한 역사 사건이나 지명 등을 역주하였고, 역주 과정에서 추가적 설명이 필요할 경우 각주에 정리하였다.
The big problem in studying Koryu period is the limitation of resources that are possible to use. Still, there is a limitaion problem that Ko ryu Sa(高麗史) and Ko Ryu Sa Zerl Yo(高麗史節要), the bagic resources at researching Koryu, are 2nd historical material to logical the foundation of Chosun Dynasty. So I trainslated with note for Gye Song Bu(開城府), Gye Song Bu Sok Hyun(開城府 屬縣), Kyoung Ju(慶州), Url Ju(蔚州), Rye Ju(·禮州), Jeon Ju(全州), Yang Ju(梁州), Mil Song Gun(密城郡), Jin Ju(晉州), Hab Ju(陜州), and many other sections within Ko Ryu Sa Ji Ri Ji(高麗史 地理志) which is the bagic resource for Koryo's region system. These are one of the trainslation and annotation works for Ko Ryu Sa Ji R iJi(高麗史 地理志). The way to translate with notes was suggesting original contents first which is relevant data for individual area and translating this contents into Hangul to understand easily in Byun Yuk(飜譯) section. In "Tranlation with note" section, It provides the important history event or area. If it's not enough to understand, go to find in "footnote" section.
