Analysis of Conditions and Design of e-Mentoring System for Facilitating the Communication and Knowledge Construction in the Gifted Education Despite increased interest and research on e-Mentoring, researches indicate that deep connections and communications between mentees and mentor seems to be relatively rare and it's so difficult to construct the knowledge through online discussions. To facilitate the communication and knowledge construction, it is needed to determine under what conditions online mentoring is more effective and what kinds of support are needed. The purpose of this study is to analyses human and technical conditions for facilitating the communication and knowledge construction and to design e-Mentoirng system. PBL e-Mentoring based on Constructivism was developed. It modified Barrows' PBL and was composed 5 steps - ‘Introduction’, ‘Identifying the Problem’, ‘Exploring and Exchanging Information’, ‘Constructing the Knowledge’, ‘Extending the Knowledge and Evaluation'. By the result of the analysis of the human and technical conditions, it gives the guidelines to mentors and administrators for supporting and facilitating online discussion. As a conclusion, the possibility of PBL e-Mentoring for the gifted education was identified.
