본 연구는 중등학교 교실 수업 지원 체제로서 교수학습도움센터 모형을 개발하는데 목적이 있다. 연구의 목적을 달성하기 위하여 국내외 관련 문헌을 고찰하고, 선진 사례를 분석한 후, 실태 및 요구를 분석하였다. 연구방법은 사례연구, 조사연구, 그리고 개발연구를 병행했으며, 연구의 대상은 중학교와 고등학교를 포함하는 중등학교로 제한하였다.연구결과, 문헌연구를 통해 미국과 프랑스의 동향을 살펴볼 수 있었으며, 사례연구를 통해 모형의 유형화, 실태 및 요구분석틀 및 교수학습도움센터 모형의 개념적 틀을 설정할 수 있었다. 또한, 조사연구를 통해 교수학습도움센터 설치 및 기능, 교수학습도움센터 시설 및 장비, 교수학습자료, 인적 구성 및 역할, 교육과정 운영 및 활용, 외부지원 및 연계 체제, 홈페이지 운영 등에 대한 실태와 요구를 파악할 수 있었다. 이상과 같은 연구결과를 기초로 우리나라 교육 여건에 적합한 중등학교 교수학습도움센터 모형으로서 종합센터형, 도서관 중심형, 분리형, 온라인중심형 등의 네 가지 유형의 모형을 개발하였으며, 각각의 모형을 적용하고자 하는 개별 학교를 위해 실제적인 제언을 하였다.

We also analyzed Korean cases, the current situation of and needs for teaching and learning center. From the results of the study, we developed one model with 4 types. First, as the result of literature review and case study of foreign countries, we found that the elementary and secondary schools in America and France have supported classroom instruction systematically and efficiently, expanding and restructuring space and function of the school library. Second, we analyzed 56 schools across the country: the situation and needs. Based on the result, we categorized school teaching and learning centers with 4 models, and gained plentiful information related to teaching and learning center. Finally, we developed 4 types of model, including spacial rooms complex type, expanded school library type, separated type of teaching and learning, on-line type.
