본 연구는 예술꽃씨앗학교 지원사업을 사례로 초등학교 문화예술교육이 학생들의 문화예술 및 인성적변화에 미치는 영향을 확인한 준실험연구이다. 예술꽃씨앗학교로 지정된 16개 초등학교의 문화예술교육프로그램 적용하여 사전사후 비교조사를 통해 학생들의 문화예술적 영역과 인성적 영역의 변화를 검증하였다. 문화예술성 효과는 음악영역, 미술영역, 공연영역의 세 영역에 대해 자기효능감, 기능, 창의성/문화예술적 감성, 리더십, 교과학습태도, 정서통제, 자기표현/발표력, 사회성의 8개 하위 영역으로 나누어 조사하였고, 인성적 효과는 자존/행복감, 표현/창의성, 협동/사회성의 세 영역을 조사하였다. 그 결과 비교집단의초등학생에게서는 나타나지 않은 변화가 실험집단의 초등학생에게 나타났다. 실험집단 학생들의 문화예술적 영역에서 대부분 유의미한 차이가 발견되었고, 인성적 영역에서는 자존/행복감에는 변화가 발견되지않았으나 표현/창의성과 협동/사회성 영역에서 유의미한 차이가 발견되었다. 결론적으로 문화예술교육은초등학생의 문화예술 및 인성적 변화에 긍정적 변화를 주었음이 발견되었다.
The purpose of this research is to analyse the effect of the culture and art education on primary school students. This research project ran pre/post tests on 1014 students of 16Art-Flower Seed (AFS) Schools selected in 2011, and a control group of 273 students from 5general schools was used to study the effects of the AFSSP on students. The results of the pre/post tests about the effectiveness of the AFSSP on the students shows that it has positive effects in most subordinary areas. First, the AFSSP increased expression, creativity,cooperation, and sociality in personality effect. Second, the AFSSP is effective in increasing musical ability (7 areas, exclusive of musical emotion), visual art ability (6 areas, exclusive of visual art effectiveness and visual art emotion), and performance ability (8 areas), showed meaningful differences statistically. The results of this research indicate that the culture and art education (AFSSP) has a significant positive impact on primary school students.
