최근 전 세계적으로 발생하고 있는 테러와 분쟁을 접한 사람들은 놀라움과 두려움을 갖고 있다. 중국과 동유럽, 아프리카의 나이제리아와 중앙아프리 카, 케냐, 남수단과 시리아의 내전 등은 국제적인 문제를 낳고 있다. 2014년, 온 인류의 희망사항인 온실가스, 핵 물질 감축 함의로 지속 가능한 세상에 대한 기대감, 중국의 경제성장에도 불구하고 불안정한 국제정세는 선교현장 의 활성화에 장애물이 되고 있다. 한편, 2013년 9월부터 계속되는 중동의 급속한 정치 변동에 따라 테러의 중심축이 아프리카로 이동하고 있는 것에 국제전문가들은 깊은 우려를 낳고 있다. 중동과 아프리카를 비롯한 세계 각 지역에서 발생하는 분쟁과 테러는 종교적, 인종적, 정치적, 문화 충돌로 끊임없이 발생하고 있다. 특히 중동의 정치변동은 테러와 분쟁, 내전, 시위로 번져 국가의 경제적 위기를 가져오면 서 국민들에게는 빈곤을 가져다주고 있는 실정이다. 분쟁과 테러는 소셜 네트워크, 자생테러 단체의 급속한 조직과 활동으로 젊은이들의 가치변화와 세속화를 가속화시키고 있다. 특히 테러리즘의 발생 요인은 극단적인 종교적 신념과 정치적 동기와 목적을 위한 범죄, 경제적 빈 곤및이권에의한갈등, 사회환경구조의발달과변화라할수있다. 이러 한 틈을 타 활동하고 있는 이슬람 세력의 활동은 기독교 선교의 위기를 가져다주고 있다. 따라서 분쟁과 테러지역에서 기독교 선교는 세계화 시대의 테러와 안전을위한대책, 새로운형태의분쟁과테러에대한전쟁발생예측과대응, 기독교 문명 운동을 위한 미래의 기회가 무엇인가를 계획하고 확립하는 일 이 시급하다. 그리고 선교현장에서 해외 선교단체와 선교사간의 영향력 있 는 차트너십 구축을 통한 선교전략이라 할 수 있다. 아울러 세계를 복음화하 고 하나님 나라를 구축하려는 사명자들은 치열한 자본주의, 구성주의 속에 서공생의길을찾아야한다. 그것은불안한미래, 갈등의사회, 현대인의삶 을 통찰하는 뛰어난 영적 지각이 필요하다. 그리고 분쟁과 테러와의 전쟁을 극복하기 위해 현대사회가 안고 있는 환경의 한계를 무시하지 않는 것도 한 방법이다. 결과적으로 분쟁과 테러지역에서 기독교 선교의 담론은 선이 최 종적으로 승리한다는 희망을 갖고 하나님 나라 확장에 최선을 다할 때 선교 사역은 확장 될 것이다.
