본 연구는 가정이 우리 사회에서 가장 중요하고 기본적인 공동체이지만 점점 약해지고 있는 시점에 가정을 세움에 있어 기독교교육의 역할을 논한다. 본 연구는 세부적으로 구약과 신약에 나타난 가정의 개념과 성경적 가정과더불어 가정 세움의 본질과 가정 세움의 요소를 논한다. 본 연구는 기초 자료로 179명을 대상으로 ‘가정에서 기독교신앙교육’에 관한 설문에 대한 현황을 소개하고 이를 분석하였다. 본 연구에서 가정신앙교육현황에 대한 분석을 가정 세움의 요소와 연계하여 볼 때 가정 세움의 요소로서 하나님의 말씀과 관련하여 ‘성경을 많이 가르칠 때’ 학생들은 부모님의 신앙교육에 만족하였다. 가정 세움의 요소로서 기도와 관련하여 ‘부모님이 신앙교육을 많이할때’ 학생들은 부모의 신앙교육에 만족하였다. 가정 세움의 요소로서의 경건과 관련하여 ‘부모의 신앙생활의 모범’이 드러나고 그러한 모범을 많이 보여 줄수록 자녀들은 부모의 신앙교육에 대하여 만족하였다. 본 연구를 통하여 가정은 하나님의 약속이 전수되는 신앙 공동체이며 믿는 부모의 언약의자녀들이 거듭나고 신앙적으로 성숙할 수 있는 신앙교육의 장이라는 점이다. 그러므로 본 연구는 교회로 하여금 부모와 자녀들을 위한 신앙교육 프로그램을 개설하여 모두 참여할 수 있도록 해야 하는 근거를 제시한다. 이를위해 교회는 가정 세움을 위한 성경적 가정교육 프로그램 개발을 지원해야 한다.
This study explores the role of Christian education for building Christianfamily which has been weakening gradually. For this, I shall describe theconcepts of family which can be found in Old and New Testaments. Viewsof biblical family will be discussed in terms of created community, gracecovenant community, and faith community. The nature of building family isdelineated on the meaning and content. The elements of building family arealso discussed with God’s Word, prayer and piety. In this study the resultsof questionnaire on Christian family education are described and analyzed. This survey shows that students are satisfied for their parents’ faitheducation when their parents teach the Bible related to the building family. Students are also satisfied with their parents’ faith education when theyemphasize prayer as an element for building family. Related to the piety asan element for building family, students are satisfied to their parents’ faitheducation when their parents provide an exemplar in faith. The study showsfamily as a faith community transmitting God’s covenants, as a field forChristian education in which children are born again, and matured in faith. Therefore, this study shows the ground for encouraging church members toparticipate in the program for family faith education as well as to buildChristian family.
