이 논문은 문장부사가 포함된 문장의 무표적인 어순은 무엇인지 밝히고, 문장부사가 포함된 문장이 유표적인 어순으로 나타날 때 문장이 어떠한 의미를 가지는지 살펴보는 것을 목적으로 한다. 문장부사는 문장 전체를 수식하는 부사로서 문장부사의 무표적인 위치는 문장 맨 앞이다. 문장부사를 포함한 문장이 유표적인 어순을 가지는 경우는 문장부사가 다른 위치에 나온 것이 아니라 다른 성분이 문장부사 앞에 위치한 것이다. 문장부사보다 앞에 위치하는 성분은 주제화된 것이다.
This paper examines the unmarked word order of sentences with sentence adverbs, and analyses what the sentences with sentence adverbs mean when they appear in marked word order. The unmarked position of a sentence adverb that modifies a whole sentence is at the sentence initial position. If a sentence with a sentence adverb has marked word order, it is not because the sentence adverb is positioned in different places, but because other constituents are placed before the sentence adverb. The constituents that come before sentence adverbs are those which are topicalized.
