외국어 교육에 있어서 의사소통중심 교육이 확산, 발전되면서 기능 통합 수업의 중요성이 부각되었다. 이는 인간의 언어 기능은 한 가지 기능만으로 발전되는 것이 아니라 여러 기능들이 유기적으로 얽히면서 발전한다는 것을 의미한다. 따라서 외국어 교육에서 각 기능의 발전을 위한 통합 수업은 필수적이라고 할 수 있다. 그리고 이는 외국어로서의 한국어 교육에 있어서도 마찬가지라고 할 수 있다. 이에 본고에서는 딕토글로스를 활용하여 각 영역을 통합하는 수업 방안에 대해 살펴보았다. 이 수업 방안의 과정은 다음과 같다. 먼저 딕토글로스를 활용하여 듣기와 쓰기 영역에 대한 지도를 한다. 그 다음, ‘들은 후 과정’을 바탕으로 ‘읽기 활동’을 실시 한다. 그런 다음, 이 ‘읽은 후 활동’을 다시 ‘말하기 활동’으로 연계하여 수업 과정을 구성한다. 딕토글로스의 특성상 각 영역과의 연계가 자유롭고 여러 활동에 다양하게 쓰일 수 있기 때문에 이런 수업 구성은 충분히 가능할 것이다. 또한 각 단계에 맞게 활동을 구성하고 학습자들의 스키마를 활성화 시켜 참여도와 흥미를 높인다면 보다 더 효과적인 수업 설계도 가능할 것이라고 생각한다. 본고는 학습자를 대상으로 직접 수업을 진행하지는 못했고, 그 수업 방안만을 제시한 한계점을 가진다. 앞으로 위에서 제시한 수업 방안을 실제 수업에서 활용해 보고, 이 활동 후 학습자들의 한국어에 대한 이해력과 한국어 능력에 어떻게 영향을 미치고, 그것이 향상 되었는지에 대해 보다 심도 깊은 연구가 진행되어야 할 것이다.
An integrated skills teaching is magnified as a foreign language education focuses more on communications. This shows that developing language skills involve many functions interact together not only one piece in one particular area. Therefore, the integrated skills teaching becomes one of essential functions that develop these interactions. This is not an exception for Korean, as a foreign language. In this paper, combined and necessary language interaction skills were looked and suggested by using Dictogloss. The projected method for applying Dictogloss in teaching areas is followed. Listening and Writing are taught by using Dictogloss. Reading becomes the next step after using the previous Listing part. Then, the Reading leads to Speaking. The above projected method can be done because as one of functions in Dictogloss, it works well with different learning steps, methods and can be modified accordingly. More effective teaching plan can be applied if there are enough interests and participations from language learners. This methods have not been used directly on language learners which limits this paper as one of teaching methods projects. This projected plan can be applied to Korean language learners. More research can be done on how the Korean language learners have improved in understanding the Korean language, and how this projected teaching method effects the ability on learning.
