he purpose of this study is look for the epistemological basis of 7th national curriculum. So education has to do with knowledge, forming curriculum need epistemological basis. And the difference on the epistemological basis refers to curriculum difference. The 7th national curriculum framers argue that the 7th curriculum is for learner-centered education and digital directed education, and the epistemological basis of 7th national curriculum is constructivism. Constructivism is an epistemology, which have lots of influence on education The constructivism is estimated as new vision for future education Fundamental principle of the constructivism are 1) knowledge is not passively received through the sense, 2) knowledge is actively built up by the cognizing subject, 3) constructing as cognizing is involved with a reality over feeling or meaning. Under the constructivism, an education is to help learner to positively construct as cognizing. Teacher is not so much as guide or helper. Curriculum is not body of the objective knowledge. The curriculum is idea network that learner will interweave and spread out. Classroom work is a process that learner make doings positively, creatively and cooperatively. Test is not about the results but about process of fulfillment, and self-estimate is encouraged. According to the features of constructivism, constructivism is appropriate for the epistemological basis for the 7th curriculum.
