The purpose of this paper is to introduce and to discuss the contents and the form of oral exam and evaluation of immigrants' proficiency of basic Korean-language. The Ministry of Justice offers education Korean language Korea society to the immigrants via program named KIIP. The contents and the form of the oral exam is discussed, especially focused on the pre-evaluation, step-by-step evaluation, midterm evaluation and comprehensive evaluation. In the study, basis of the evaluation, the contents, the scoring scale and the criteria of evaluation are concerned. As a result, the necessity of the suitable criteria of basic evaluation and the necessity of the mean of evaluation that can distinguish the level of examinee were discovered. Also, continuous efforts on the education of the examiners for the consistency of evaluation is suggested.
