샤머니즘은 시베리아 제 민족들의 전통적 종교관이다. 샤머니즘은 그 안에 그 민족의 역사를 통해 면면이 내려온 정신물질 문화를 담고 있다. 그래서 샤머니즘에 대한 연구는 시베리아 민족을 연구하는데 있어서 가장 기본적인 연구 테마이다.본 원고는 시베리아에 살고 있는 여러 민족 중 오로치인들의 샤머니즘을 연구하였다. 이들의 샤머니즘 전통은 이웃 민족과의 교류를 통해 집적된 것으로서 오로치 샤머니즘에 대한 연구는 주변 여러 민족들과의 비교연구에도 도움이 될 것이다. 본문에서는 오로치 샤머니즘이라는 큰 주제 아래에 샤먼의 입무, 샤먼의 장비들, 제의 장소와 샤먼의 나무 ‘뚜’, 샤먼의 의례 과정에 대해 살펴보았다. 비록 오로치 샤머니즘의 심오한 의미와 역할들에 대해 완벽하게 이해하지는 못했지만 최신자료(1988년부터 1992까지의 조사)를 통해 현재 오로치의 샤머니즘에 대한 상황까지 살필 수 있었던 데에 의의를 둔다.

Therefore, study on Shamanism is an essential theme to investigate the Syberian People. This paper introduces shamanism of Orochi people who are one of the races living in Syberia. Their shamanism has been developing through communication with neighbors and this will enable us to compare to a study of other neighbor people. On the subject of Orochi shamanism, the author makes a study of becoming shaman, his attributes, a place of shmanistic ritual, shaman’s tree ‘Tu’ and it’s procedure. Though the author dosen’t fully understand meanings of Orochi Shamanism, this paper gives a chance for readers to get a knowledge of Orochi shamanism that was acquired through the lastly materials(1988～1992 years).
