이 논문은 개성덕물산의 도당굿에 대한 연구이다. 1930년대에 조사된 자료를 근 간으로 해서 이른 마을굿에 동원된 여러 집단이 이룩한 놀이판의 특성이 무엇이고, 세계관적 근저가 무엇인지 밝히려고 했다. 일본인 학자인 아카마쓰 지죠와 아키바 다카시 등이 철저한 조사를 한 덕분에 개성 덕물산의 도당굿을 연구할 수 있게 되 었다. 이 연구를 통해서 우리는 두 가지 사실을 새롭게 인지할 수 있었다. 하나는 개성 덕물산의 도당굿에 마을 사람들을 포함하여 모두 네 가지 연행집단이 동참했다고 하 는 사실이다. 마을사람ㆍ무당ㆍ굿중패ㆍ사당패 등의 참여가 활발하게 진행되고 이 러한 집단의 신명적 일체감을 통해서 도당굿을 했다는 점이다. 다른 하나는 이들의 실제 연행 장면이 촬영된 유리건판에 남아 있어서 이들 집단 의 연희적 성격이 무엇인지 철저하게 파악할 수 있었다. 그런 점에서 이 자료들은 남 다른 사진민속학의 전범을 이루게 되었다. 문제는 이들 집단의 신명풀이가 일본인 학자들에게 매우 이례적으로 파악된 점도 긴요하다. 연구를 진척하기 위해서 이 신 명풀이의 원리가 바로 신인합일에 있음을 각성하게 되었다.

This research is a study of Gaeseong Deokmulsan DodangGut in Kyonggi Province. This is based on the survey report in the 1930's. I was make an effort to clear the feature of a play place that made by gathered various group into MaeulGut also I was to clear that what is the root of world view. I indebted to Akamas Jizo(赤松智城) and Akiba Dakasi(秋葉隆) whose make a through study for the research I did Gaeseong Deokmulsan DodangGut. I new knew two fact through this research. One is the fact of four group participated in Gaeseong Deokmulsan DodangGut, the four group is inhabitants, shaman, Gutjungpae, Sadangpae. A sense of enthusiastic-unity that these groups were made be formed DodangGut. Another is I can grasping performed-character of these groups through the dry photographic plates taken at that time. In that respect these materials unusually achieved photo-folklore. Sinmyong-puri(enthusiasm) of these groups was exceptional condithion to Japanese scholars. I have awaken the principle of Sinmyong-puri is based on the ‘god-man union’.
