This thesis compares the similarities and differences of the menarit'ori region's shaman song, folk song, and h'otsori(Buddist chant). Along shaman song, folk song, and h'otsori the most structurally complicated music genre is shaman song. It means that shaman song alternately uses two types of scale which are composed of mi, sol, la, do', re' and la, do', re', mi', and through this shaman song changes melody, raises range at the same time. While though specialists are well-disciplined for several decades, they cannot find out those changes in h'otsori which is sung by bŏmpaesŭng. Instead h'otsori makes trilling sounds in several notes, and through inserting certain measure such as sŏng(short melody) it repeats and reduces melody. Also by repeatedly using toesŏng(It means the technique of playing by shedding sounds) that severely drops from re' to do' it forms specific melody type. Thus it makes changes only in same scales and range. In this way shaman song and bŏmpae h'otsori are professional music, but they each maintain their separate characteristic in genre and develop music. On the other hand folk song isn’t get away from general known form of menari-t'ori because it is music of ordinary people who don't sing professionally. That is, folk song is music genre that relatively shows general form of menari-tori more easier than shaman song and bŏmpae.
