Around 20% of Korean missionaries works in China. It means that China plays an important role for world mission. Recently GDP(Gross Domestic Product) of China gets far ahead of that of Japan. In the perspective of national economy, China outdoes Japan, and ultimately becomes G2 nation. It makes an estimate that China also will surpass America in economy in 2030. The rapid economic growth of China brings a great change on mission. It is the general tendency that there are lots of rural house churches in China. However, the urbanization and industrialization of China have produced an effect urban house church in China on growing continuously. There are two types of urban house churches in China as follows: (1) traditional house church; (2) contemporary house church. The former is the naturally formed urban house church. It means an independent church that is separated from ‘three self’ church of China, and also a peasant and artisan church consisting of immigrant laborers. The latter is the church that Korean missionaries have planted in China after forming a friendly relationship with Korea and China in 1992. They have steadily delivered the Gospel to young college students, business men, and able workers, and then have produced a good result. This article has a purpose to deal with how Korean missionaries have planted urban house church in China, and also profoundly study the tasks and perspectives that urban house church in China possesses. There are seven steps to plant urban house church in China as follows: (1) focus on human beings instead of building; (2) concentrate on relationship; (3) center on achievement of Chinese language; (4) focus on discipleship and leader training; (5) make the place of giving and serving; (6) concentrate on seminary ministry; (7) make self-supporting church. Meanwhile, there are three tasks to plant urban house church in China. First, be careful not to fall into heresy. Second, prevent house church in China from becoming enormous in scope. Third, build leaders of Paul-type and charge the leaders with their own ministry. Besides what is the perspectives of urban house church in China? First, the lay-centered church will be prosperous. Second, Korean missionaries have to train native leaders as well as their missionary kids. Third, Korean missionaries ought to become itinerant missionary and patrol the urban house church they have planted until now. All leaders of urban house church in China must take the lead in expanding ‘Westward Movement’ of the Gospel and will exert themselves to extend the kingdom of God to inland area and a minority race in China.
