The idea for an Islamic paradise is so impactive. Moreover they promise that representative rewards cannot compare with Christianity’s. If someone dies in battle for Jihad, or devout to Allah, they will be rewarded with a golden house, plentiful food, high quality wine, beautiful ladies (hudis), handsome guys or the power of 100 men. All of these will be given to them in the next world. Jihad should be divided into two categories, one is greater Jihad and the other one is lesser Jihad. Greater Jihad is also called personal jihad; this is the most important. It is the intimate struggle to purify one’s soul of evil influences, both subtle and overt. It is the struggle to cleanse one’s spirit of sin. Lesser Jihad has two categories of physical Jihad. First is the Jihad of the hand. Jihad of the hand promotes causes of Allah-propagated Islam against evil by praise worthy deeds. Second is the Jihad of Sword. Jihad of the Sword is a very important and an essential element of Islamic teaching. The five Developmental Stages of Jihad. First Step: Peaceful Stage Second Step: Preparation Stage Third Step: Warding off Hostility Forth Step: Offensive stage Fifth Step: Expansionist Stage Islam takes each step according to the situation. It means we should not define them as a peaceful religion even if they are in the peaceful stage. Undoubtedly they will proceed toward the next stages. This is the reason why we have to know about Jihad and the reason we have to teach about Islam to church members. This article is written to announce the strategies of Jihad and to recognize the needs of doctrinal study. To do this I composed this article as such: I. Introduction on Jihad, II. Kinds of Jihad, III. Blessings for the Inhabitants of Paradise, IV. Evaluation and Christian Response. The final session contains the conclusion and suggestions.
이슬람의 내세사상은 매우 강하다. 특히 이슬람의 내세에서는 기독교와 비교할 수 없는 실제적이고 현실적인 보상에 대한 약속이 주어졌다. 지하드에 참가해서 죽임을 당하거나, 이슬람을 위해서 헌신한 사람들에게는 알라의 종이 된다, 금으로 만든 집을 보상으로 받는다, 그리고 풍성한 음식과 함께 고급술을 하사받으며, 미소년들의 시중을 받아서 영원한 젊음을 누리면서 아름다운 여인들(후리스)과 함께 백 명의 남자의 정력을 받아서 영원히 살게 되며, 꿈에도 그리던 알라를 볼 수 있다는 것이 그것이다. 이러한 사상은 기독교의 내세관보다는 훨씬 더 현실적인 목표로서 왜 많은 무슬림들이 자신의 목숨을 아까워하지 않고 지하드에서 헌신적으로 자신을 불태우는가에 대한 해답이 될 수 있다. 이 엄청난 복을 받기 위해서 그들은 다양한 전략적인 지하드를 실시하고 있는데 평화적 단계, 준비 단계, 공격적인 단계, 확장단계로 진행된다. 각 단계마다 각각의 전술을 구사하고 있으며 각 단계마다 해당되는 지하드가 각각 다르다. 그들은 개인의 영적인 다툼에서 승리를 목적으로 하는 시작해서 검을 들고 상대방을 정복하는 힘의 지하드까지 각기 다른 전술과 전략을 가지고 있다. 이러한 형태의 지하드는 세계 곳곳에서 일어나고 있으며, 그 양태나 방식이 일정한 형식을 가지고 있음을 알 수 있다. 이러한 상태에서 한국의 이슬람은 아직까지는 평화적인 태도를 취하고 있으나 지하드의 진행방향으로 일정하게 흘러갈 것은 뻔한 일이다. 그러므로 한국교회는 이러한 이슬람의 지하드의 경로를 파악하고, 지금은 비록 그 세력이 미약해서 평화적인 태도를 보이고 있다고 해도 반드시 공격적, 파괴적인 지하드로 나갈 것을 미리 알고 준비해서 이슬람의 전략을 무력화시키는 일을 해야 한다. 이를 위해서는 우선, 이슬람의 지하드와 내세사상이 무엇인가를 잘 파악한 후 이를 교인들에게 교육해야 한다. 그런 다음에 성경적인 내세관과 비교해서 이슬람의 교리가 허황되고 비현실적인 것임을 알리고 잘못된 가르침에 현혹되지 않도록 해야 한다. 또한 무슬림 중에서 성경적인 내세관이 무엇인지를 아는 사람은 반드시 이슬람의 내세관이 가지고 있는 한계점을 발견하게 될 것이다. 우선 한국교회 그리스도인이 성경적인 내세관을 알고 이슬람의 내세관에 관한 교육을 받아야만 한다. 우리가 먼저 말씀에 익숙한 이후 이 땅에 있는 무슬림들에게 성경을 가르치고 복음을 전해서 그들이 참 하나님 아버지를 발견할 수 있도록 힘껏 도와야만 한다.
